Blog # 3 Why do we believe in things are not or cannot be proven
First of all if you believe in something, then it doesn’t really have to be proven doe’s it! I think we all believe in something that we cannot prove is true. It could be true love, evolution, religion, life in space, heaven, ghosts, angels; I probably could go on and on here, I would bet that I already have mentioned something here, that ninety percent of us believe in and would argue for hours over.
It is only human nature to believe in things that cannot be proven, these topics give us hours of enjoyment debating with friends and peers over them. Most of us feel that if it cannot be proven that it doesn’t exist then it has to be true. Like my Bigfoot internet site a few weeks back, there is plenty of people that believe Bigfoot is real. I’ve heard the howling of them on tape, well then they must be real. (Kidding)
In my opinion if all of us only believed in those things that can be proven true, life would be very boring and not much fun at all. Our every day lives involves direct dialogue and beliefs with on another about topics that have not been totally proven to be true. What would we talk about or study about if we only did it with topics that have been proven. What if a topic was proven with out a shadow of a doubt, there would still be some of us that would argue it wasn’t true.
So what does being proven really mean to us? To some of us it may give us a peace of mind, to others probably not much. As I stated earlier it doesn’t matter much what is proven, cause there will always be people that will argue the findings.

(Blog # 2) I Thought I knew what was going on!
There has been many times in my life where I thought I knew what was going on, only to find out I didn't. Most recently my wedding a few weekends ago, but we will save that for another time. Many years ago while working for a cable T.V contractor, I used to cut concrete and asphalt, for the purpose of installing a cable television drop from one side of a street or driveway to the power side of a customers home. We would run a route each day that consisted of four to five jobs.
I remember this one day during the summer, it was about 110 degrees out and around one in the afternoon, I had finished my route and called my boss to see if he had anymore work for us to do. While I'm talking to him on the phone, and also trying to listen to my partner who was yelling at me from the cab of the truck, I was writing down an address for another street and driveway cut that needed to be done in North Phoenix. After getting off the pay phone (no cells then ) we proceeded to the address, unloaded all of our tools and got started, no one was home at the time, but we decided to at least get all of the outside work completed for installing cable television to yet another potential happy customer, so we thought. I started cutting the street open for placement of the cable, from the opposite side of the street, and my partner took the ladder and started routing and stapling cable around the house. The job went rather well I had finished cutting the street and the driveway, my partner had finishing stapling the cable to the house, so we both jumped on digging a trench through the new customers yard from the driveway up to where we had stapled the cable on the house.
A truck pulled up in front of the house, and I remember thinking to myself- COOL their home we can finish up the inside work now. This Man was coming unglued what the H&** were we doing to his yard and home. I explained to him we were installing his cable T.V. He yelled at me I NEVER ORDERED CABLE T.V. I said I have it right here isn't this **** 1st Pl. And he said no it's **** 1st wy. OOPS !!
We had spent almost three hours cutting and digging and stapling the wrong house, and we still had to go to the correct address, which was the next block over and do it again.
**Why did this happen, I'm sure it was because I didn't give my boss my complete attention. I was busy listening to another conversation that was being directed to me at the same time. What I should have done after my boss gave me the Address was read it back to him. Another thing I should have done was when we arrived and no one was home make a quick call and verify the address. That Day Sucked, but today I Laugh about it!
